Dwaara Staapana – April 10, 2011

by Douglas Wilson | Jan 12, 2017

The installation of the doorframe was performed by the shilpis at an auspicious time and occurred after all interior work was complete.

The doorframe is representative of the human legs. This ceremony is a very auspicious event and brings good luck and good fortune. This was the last structural ceremony before the Kumbhabishekam (consecration).

There is also a YouTube Video of the Dwaara Staapana Ceremony.
