Mount Soma provides various accommodations for those who want to take advantage of its beauty and power for more than a day. It is an opportunity to stay at a spiritual retreat center, alive with the Transcendent, near Hanuman Park, Mahanandi Park, Ganga Park and waterfall and the powerful vibrations of Sri Somesvara Temple. To make the most of your trip, please check the Schedule of Events to coordinate it with the different activities offered.

Make A Reservation

To make a reservation, send an email to reservations@mountsoma.org.  Include the following information in your email: 1) Check-in and check-out dates, 2) number of adults and children in your group, 3) your phone number.  Once we receive your information, we will send you lodging availability.  Please review it and reply back with your lodging request and/or questions.  We will call you at the phone number you listed to confirm and book your reservation.

Room Availability

All Cottages and Student Union Dorm rooms are available 7 days a week. Breakfast and all taxes are included in the room price.

Cafeteria Dining

Week-ends and Holidays

A full Indian buffet is served on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Price is $14 for adults and $7 for children. Beverages are additional.  (Prices may vary some depending on menu.)
Please Note: 5:30 closing time may vary slightly depending on demand or special circumstances.

Week Day Lunches

During the week, lunch is available between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM daily on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The cafeteria is closed on Wednesdays. Week day price is is $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. Beverages are additional. Although lunch reservations generally are not needed, if you have a group of 10 or more and wish to have lunch on a week day, please call 2 days prior to your visit – 828-531-9925 or 828-531-9926  or email reservations@mountsoma.org to let us know. We want to make sure we prepare enough food for all our visitors..

Week day dinners

Reservations are required for weekday dinners. Weekday dinners can be reserved by calling 828-531-9925 or 828-531-9926 or by email at reservations@mountsoma.org. On weekdays, reserved dinners can be picked up at the Cafeteria until 5:30 PM. Dinner pick-up time on weekdays must be arranged with Temple Reservations at 828-531-9925 or the Student Union Cafeteria at 828-531-9926 or by email at reservations@mountsoma.org. Please give as much advance notice as possible.

Week-end Dinners

On weekends and holidays, dinner is available at the Student Union cafeteria until 5:30 PM.

Shravan Maas

During Shravan Maas, a full Indian buffet will be served on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

Cottage Suites

  • Cottage Suites are two rooms, and sleep 4-5 persons
  • Queen bed in private bedroom, and 2 or 3 twin beds in common family room
  • Microwave, refrigerator and Wi-Fi
  • One private bathroom with tub/shower
  • Balcony with mountain view on some floors

The Student Union Building

Ashram-style rooms offer an economical overnight option, with shared bathroom in hallway:

  • Family Room – sleeps 3-6 persons (some rooms have bunk beds)
  • King bedroom – sleeps 2 persons
  • Two twin beds – sleeps 2 persons

The Student Union has a large deck to relax and enjoy the sunrise or the gorgeous mountain views any time of day. Meals are served in the dining area and the fireplace is a wonderful place to congregate.
