Marcia Bowes serves as the chairperson on the Sri Somesvara Temple board. Dr. Michael Mamas and Ms. Bowes were the founders and driving forces behind the construction of Śrī Someśvara Temple. From 2006, through completion and consecration in 2011, Ms. Bowes funded and managed construction of Sri Somesvara Temple with strict and rigorous adherence to Shilpa Shastra. She continues to devote her time to the service of Sri Somesvara and the tenets of Vedic Knowledge, working for the establishment of an enlightened Vedic city that is being created at Mount Soma. Previously Ms. Bowes founded and operated Bowes Construction, Inc., a successful road building company, doing work for federal, state, and local government agencies as well as for the private sector.
Kita Grinberg serves as vice chairperson on the Sri Somesvara Board. Kita holds a Master’s Degree in Education, and is currently teaching in Northern California. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in history from Brown University. She also is a certified yoga teacher and offers yoga to incarcerated women. She has been a part of the Sri Somesvara community since 2013, including spending time in the ashram there.
Hayley McDougall serves as the secretary/treasurer for Śrī Someśvara Temple. She has studied intercultural relations formally and as a hobby. Dr. McDougall graduated with High Honors from the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree from the Foreign Language and Literature department. She holds a doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West where she graduated summa cum laude.
